Fay and I have been sister-in-laws since 1959. Always loved Fay. She was a very wonderful woman. Really glad we were able to see each other last year when I was in Ashville on a group tour. She had such a great heart. Will really miss her. Sue Henderson

Karen, we are so very sorry to hear about your sweet mom. We were actually just talking about her the other day.... We will miss her quick wit as she meandered through the store (usually bossing us around!) We always had a good laugh with her every time she stopped in. We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. -Rachel Graves and all the ladies at The Cottage Door.

I met Fay years ago when I took care of her husband and later also became her nurse numerous times. She was also good friends with my mother when they were in the Red Hatters together. They shared the love of angels and the gift of gab.We shared the love of crafts. She was much more than a patient to me and enjoyed also being her friend over the years. So very sorry for your loss of such a bright and shining star.I will be praying for you all.

Fay was always a special person to our family as we our families have known each other for about 50 years. When I was still in Grade school we would stop on our weekly trips to Grandma's house in Dakota IL to buy farm fresh eggs from Fay. Not long after Fay and Family lived in the block behind us in Freeport. I always remember how upbeat and friendly she was.
When my parents moved to North Carolina in 1973, Fay then would become next door neighbors and was a special friend to my Mother. Fay will be missed and will always be remembered for the joy she gave us all.
