Obituary
WEAVERVILLE– Marinette Cauble Blevins, age 94, of Weaverville, formerly of Bakersville, NC, died peacefully January 15, 2018.
Marinette was the daughter of the late John Edward Cauble and Blanche LaFond Cauble, of Asheville and was born August 16, 1923 in Colorado Springs, CO. Marinette grew up in Asheville and was a 1940 graduate of Lee Edwards High School and a 1942 graduate of the junior college of St. Genevieve of the Pines. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George N. Blevins of Bakersville, NC, who died in 2002.
Surviving are her son, Stephen E. Blevins; daughter, Rebecca B. Davidson and husband Paul; grandsons, Edward T. Blevins, Patrick Davidson and wife Kelsey, Daniel Davidson, and great grandson, William Davidson.
Mrs. Blevins’ memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 in First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville. Rev. Skip Gillikin will officiate. Private burial will be at Green B. Young Cemetery, Mitchell County.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the memorial service.
Flowers are acceptable and appreciated and should be delivered to First Presbyterian Church, 30 Alabama Avenue, Weaverville, NC 28787.
