Obituary

SWANNANOA - Claude Lenoir McCall, age 88, of Swannanoa, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Mission Hospital.

Mr. McCall was born December 22, 1929 in Avery County. He lived and worked in California for 42 years as an electrical engineer and was a resident of Swannanoa for the past 25 years. Claude was a caring, funny; always respectful man; just an all-around good guy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Zela Thompson McCall and son, Dennis McCall, who died in 2014.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Mary Hoover McCall.

His funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Rev. Andrew Thomas will officiate.

Burial will be in Sky View Memorial Park, Asheville.

The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday, January 22, 2018, prior to the service.

A reception will follow the funeral service at West Funeral Home.
