Johnnie was a North Buncombe High School classmate and I taught with him for a time at Clyde Erwin High School. He was a dedicated coach and educator, who was concerned about and always wanted the best for his students and players. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was delightful to be with. He will be missed. I extend my deepest sympathy to the family

Missy, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing, joining those loved in Heaven. I pray for peace as you travel this road. I grew up in Alexander knowing your grandparents very well, going to church at Alexander Baptist. I have many wonderful memories of them and, of course, I had you mom as my basketball coach for 2 years at NBHS.
