I had Mrs.Rector for 3 years in Home Economics during my 4 years at North Buncombe. I graduated in 1963. She was one of my all time favorite teachers all my years in school. She would run into my mom in the grocery store in later years and always asked about me. May she rest in peace. She was truly one of a kind. My prayers to the family.

Our dear friend, teacher and sister in the Lord is now made perfect in heaven. She will always be remembered for her eastern North Carolina speech. I loved to listen to her talk.

I am honored to be a former student of Mrs. Rector and I have several fond memories. I think it pleased her so much that she was not only my teacher but also my mom's teacher. She was without a doubt a positive influence in my high school years. I am sure she will be missed, but what a joyous reunion happening right now in heaven as she sees all the lives she has touched over the years. May God bless her family as they caring on what she has started. Love and prayers, Darlene Roberts Brooks class of 1985
