ADA MOSS "MAMAW" MAYNOR ASHEVILLE—Ada Mae Moss Maynor, age 88, of Asheville died Monday, March 30, 2009. Mrs. Maynor was born April 29, 1920, in Barnardsville. She was a daughter of the late John Riley and Lizzie Ingle Moss and widow of the late William Lattie Maynor who died in 1987. She was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; two daughters, Ruby Evelyn Maynor and Shirley Velma Maynor; and one granddaughter, Deborah Fleming. Surviving are her two sons, James Dallas Maynor and Lewis Maynor, both of Asheville; grandchildren, James C. Maynor, Karen Carr, Patricia Begley, Charles Maynor, Jeff Maynor, and Joe Maynor. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Leonard Cole officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Barnardsville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
