ASHEVILLE—Ada Lea Riddle, age 82, of Baird Cove Rd. died Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
Mrs. Riddle was born July 25, 1930, in Yancey County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She was formerly employed at Lion's Industry for the Blind. Ada Lea was a great cook and enjoyed flower gardening. She attended Union Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Eliza Cody Buckner; husband, George Ray Riddle who died in 2008; sister, Ida Fox; and brother, Roy Buckner.
Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Nell Masters, and Maggie Atkins and husband Jack; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Revs. Albert Roberts and Kenneth Crane officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
