ADDIE LOU WILDE WEAVER WEAVERVILLE - Addie Lou Wilde Weaver, age 102, of Weaverville went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2015. Mrs. Weaver was born December 13, 1912 in Buncombe County. She worked for the Hadley Corporation and retired from the company in 1976. Addie Lou loved quilting. She was a member of the Salem quilters from Salem United Methodist Church, where she was a life-long member. She met and quilted with the group every Wednesday, creating and working on beautiful masterpieces, up until she was 96. She was a daughter of the late Elbert F. and Ellis B. Clark Wilde and wife of the late Victor Weaver who died in 1960. She was also preceded in death by son, Monty Weaver; adopted son Tom Ray; sister Pauline Wilde Franks; brother J.P. Wilde and niece Nikki Wilde Cortright. Surviving are her nephew, Eric Wilde; nephew in law, Larry Cortright; adopted daughter-in-law and dear friend Grace Ray and adopted grandchildren Tim Ray and Nancy Ray Hoglen. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, in Salem United Methodist Church, with Reverend Dr. John Blalock officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at West Funeral Home, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral. Flowers are welcome. Those desiring to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider Salem United Methodist Church, 9 Salem Church Rd., Weaverville, NC 28787.
