Agnes Elizabeth Hensley

WEAVERVILLE—Agnes Elizabeth Hensley, age 87, of Weaverville died Thursday, October 18, 2012. Mrs. Hensley was born May 12, 1925, in the Grapevine Community of Madison County and was a resident of Weaverville for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Revel and Biddie Jane Austin Cody; and husband, Guy Hensley, who died in 1999. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra Shepherd and husband Joe of Weaverville and Gretchen Buckner and husband Danny of Asheville; son, Jerry Hensley of Weaverville; grandchildren, Chris Buckner, Angela Shepherd, Jennifer Bailey, Tiffany Edwards; great grandchildren, Alexander Buckner, Hannah Bailey, Paislee Edwards; and sister, Marie Cody of Asheville. Private family services will be held at the family cemetery in the Grapevine Community of Madison County with the reading of The Lord's Prayer by Harlon Ingle.
