Alene McKinney Jamerson

WEAVERVILLE - Alene McKinney Jamerson, age 85, of Weaverville died Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Mrs. Jamerson was born August 4, 1930 in Madison County to the late Robert and Minnie Thomas McKinney. She was a resident of Weaverville since 1965 and formerly worked at Hadley's of Weaverville and retired from Square D. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kermit J. Jamerson who died in 2010; son, Rick Jamerson; great grandson, Jaxen; as well as sister, Irene Cody and brothers, Carly, Boyd and Ralph McKinney. Mrs. Jamerson was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be missed. Surviving are her sons, Rev. Jerry Jamerson and wife Nancy and Mike Jamerson and wife Valere all of Weaverville; daughter-in-law, Loretta Jamerson of Weaverville; sister, Alma Marlowe of Fairview; brother, Clyde McKinney of Mars Hill; seven grandchildren, Heather Jamerson, Clint Jamerson and wife Amy, Melissa Jamerson, Emily Jamerson and Brantley, Alisha Jamerson, Matt Jamerson and wife Tiffany, and Rob Jamerson; great grandsons, Hayden and Lane and great granddaughters, Allie and Clair. Mrs. Jamerson's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Mike and Valere Jamerson, 7 Greenridge Rd., Weaverville.
