WEAVERVILLE – Aline Fox Allman, age 82, of Weaverville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
Mrs. Allman was born July 19, 1936 in Madison County and lived in Buncombe County most of her life. Aline was a secretary for the North Carolina Department of Transportation and retired after 43 years. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Fox and Loneasy Bishop Fox. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dale Allman who died in 2017; sisters, Irma Guthrie, Pauline Reid and Lucille Fox; brothers, Joe Fox, Hilliard “Bill” Fox and J.B. Fox.
Surviving are her son, Jeff Allman and wife Margie; two grandchildren, Bobby and Samantha; sisters, Velma Freeman and Diana Hyder; special niece, June Clark.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2018, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Phillip Parker officiating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the funeral home.
At other times, the family will be at the home of Jeff Allman.
