Allan R. Waldrop

WEAVERVILLE—Allan R. Waldrop, age 62, of Weaverville, died Thursday, October 4, 2012. Allan was born January 21, 1950, in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He formerly worked at DaBur Industries. He was the son of Jean H. Waldrop of Weaverville and the late Woodard F. Waldrop. Surviving in addition to his mother are his daughter, Lisa Austin and husband Rob of Candler; sisters, Karen Rice and husband Danny of Weaverville and Kathy Brown and husband Danny Joe of Barnardsville; grandchildren, Lindsay and Kevin Austin; three nieces, one great niece and one great nephew. His graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. At other times, the family will be at the home of Jean Waldrop. Memorials may be made to North Carolina Division of Services for the Blind, 2601 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-2601.
