Allen Lewis Freeman

WEST BUNCOMBE- Allen Lewis Freeman, age 74, of West Buncombe passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Autumn Care of Marion.

Mr. Freeman was born December 1, 1949 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and received various medals and commendations, including the Bronze Star Medal.  Allen worked in construction as a block mason. He enjoyed fishing, liked being outdoors, and loved his dogs, Petey and Crackers.

Mr. Freeman was the son of the late Juanita Mae Jones and James Lewis Freeman and was also preceded in death by his longtime partner, Janet Hall.

Surviving are his step-children, Jody Jones and husband James, Kerrie Miller and husband Mike, and Robert Hall and wife Darcey; sister, Linda Lunsford; brothers, Ross Freeman and James Freeman; grandchildren, Austin Dolly, Skylar Hall, and Mike Miller, Jr.; and one great grandson.
