Anna Cecile Ray Bass

SWANNANOA—Anna Cecile Ray Bass 48, passed away Wednesday April 7, 2010 after a short illness. Anna was born November 26, 1961 to the late Cecil L. Ray who died in 1981 and Helene Kuehnel Ray who now resides in Germany. She was a 1979 graduate of Enka High School and graduate of Cecil's Business College. Surviving in addition to her mother are her sons; Stephen Joseph and Jonathan Noah Bass both of Swannanoa, sister; Donna Barber and husband Jim of England, and her adopted sister and friend Betty Sanchez of Maryland; one niece and several nephews. She also is survived by many friends and was loved by all. Anna's Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2010, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Rev. Jim Dykes officiating.
