Audrey Bailey

ASHEVILLE - Audrey Bailey, 82, of Asheville, North Carolina passed away peacefully at home on October 23, 2024. 

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, Weaverville, North Carolina. Pastor Bradley Collins of Elk Mountain Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends from 9:15-10:45 am on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral. 

Following the service at the cemetery, family and friends will meet at Elk Mountain Baptist Church in Woodfin, North Carolina. 

Audrey was born on December 21, 1941, in Plainview, Long Island. She worked at Brentwood Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for 30 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Since retirement, she has enjoyed working with her flowers in the garden. 

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Delma Bailey and brother, Kenneth Bailey. 

She is survived by her sisters, Jackie Stafford and Eleanor Collazo; uncle, Peter Fochi; aunt, Faye Willams; her nieces and nephews: Lisa Stafford, Catherine Jackson, David Stafford, Kenny Collazo, Kevin Collazo, Keith Collazo, TJ Bailey, and Debbie DeCarlo; and lifelong friends Shirley Ledford and Roseanne Myers.

Family and friends are comforted by Audrey’s favorite bible verses John 3:16 and Psalms 4:8. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Elk Mountain Baptist Church, 197 Elk Mountain Road, Asheville, NC 28804.
