Augustina Burnette

CANDLER—Augustina "Gussie" Burnette, age 89, of 82 Morgan Street, died Friday, March 16, 2012. Mrs. Burnette was born August 13, 1922 in New Bedford, MA and was a resident of Buncombe County since 1950. Surviving are her daughter, Jane Burnette; sons, Gary Burnette and Randall Burnette; sister, Alice Rickett; sister-in-law, Lillian Jordon; two grandsons; one great grandson and several loving nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the home of Wayne and Kathy Metcalf, 47 Indian Trail Rd., Candler on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. with a sharing of memories at 6 p.m. West Funeral Home, Weaverville is assisting the family.
