BARBARA E. GOODWIN Barbara E. Goodwin, formerly Barbara Bump, age 79 of 48 Roberts Cove Road died Thursday, January 14, 2016. Mrs. Goodwin was born April 29, 1936 in Camden, NJ and was a former resident of Philadelphia, PA and Whiting, NJ. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Martha Norton Goodwin; and sister, Marlene Goodwin Harrell. Surviving are her daughters, Janis L. Clark and husband Jeffrey, Karen B. Weagle and husband Mick; son, Scott S. Bump and wife Cynthia Grady; granddaughter, Leah Grady; beloved friend, Laszlo Stankovics. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Evet and Joe Trantham of Mayflower Senior Care for the tender loving care they provided Barbara during the last months of her life, as well as the incredible support and encouragement they shared with her family. We would also like to thank CarePartners Adult Day in Asheville for the love and support they gave so generously through a very difficult time. Finally, we would like to thank CarePartners Hospice for allowing her to be comfortable during her final hours. Barbara waged a mighty battle with Alzheimer’s disease, always with remarkable dignity and grace.
