BEATRICE TAFFER EDMONDS WEAVERVILLE – Beatrice Taffer Edmonds, age 81, of Weaverville died Saturday, January 9, 2016. Mrs. Edmonds was born April 13, 1934 in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She retired from Albany Manufacturing Co. She was a daughter of the late Ardle and Nell Shelton Taffer and wife of the late Johnie James Edmonds who died in 2012. Surviving are her daughter, Kathey Yarbrough and husband Don of Asheville; sister, Irene T. Banks and husband Edgar of Weaverville; brothers, Landon Taffer and wife Evon of Kernersville, NC, LWood Taffer and wife Patsy, and Doyle Taffer and wife Mary all of Mars Hill; granddaughter, Teresa Smith and husband Josh; and great granddaughter, Sarah. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Cline Hensley, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the funeral home.
