BENSIL COLE
FLAT CREEK – Bensil Cole, age 84, a life time resident of Flat Creek, died Monday, January 16, 2017.
Mr. Cole was born July 7, 1932 in Buncombe County to the late Pozie and Vista Chambers Cole. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Cole was a life time member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years Mary Conner Cole; daughter, Susan Cole Redmond and husband Kirk; sons, Joel Cole and Gregory Cole; sister, Beatrice Cook; grandchildren, Morgan, Reagan, Seth, Kristen, Brittany, Whitney, Jerrod and Wiley; great grandchildren, Davis, Holden, Lawson, Dagen, Abigail, Merritt, Kasen, Miles, and Kylen.
His graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Weaverville, with Reverend Kent Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday at Salem United Methodist Church, 7 Salem Church Rd., Weaverville.
Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
