Betty J. Pegg Dillingham

BARNARDSVILLE—Betty J. Pegg Dillingham, age 80, of Barnardsville, died Friday, September 9, 2011. Mrs. Dillingham was born May 13, 1931, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a retired seamstress from Mills Manufacturing. Betty was a lifelong member of Dillingham Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley Ray and Louise Creasman Pegg, and her husband, James Beaty Dillingham who died in 1998. Surviving are her daughters, Diana Faye Nix of Edneyville, Bobbie D. Nix of Barnardsville, and Yvonne Dillingham of Marshall; sister, Kathleen Lunsford of Barnardsville; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at John F. Dillingham Cemetery with Rev. Richard Hicks officiating, followed immediately by a memorial service at Dillingham Presbyterian Church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Bobbie Nix, 20 Houston Rd., Barnardsville.
