Betty Revis Roberts

BETTY REVIS ROBERTS ALEXANDER – Betty Revis Roberts, age 78 of Alexander went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Mrs. Roberts was born November 25, 1937 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She loved her family, her church and the Lord. She was a faithful member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and enjoyed the ladies of her church and Sunday school class. A daughter of the late Irvin and Josie Rice Revis; Betty was also preceded in death by husband, L.A Roberts who went home to be with the Lord in 2010; son, Gerald Roberts and several siblings. Surviving are her daughters, Rita Roberts, Linda Pike and husband Roy Pike Jr., Teresa Roberts; son, Roger Roberts; sister Grace; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Cedar Hill Baptist Church, 474 Cedar Hill Rd., Alexander, with Reverends Roy McPeters and Harold Rash officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
