Betty Ann Tweed Fortner

WEAVERVILLE—Betty Ann Tweed Fortner, age 74, of Mundy Cove Rd., died Sunday, August 11, 2013. Mrs. Fortner was born January 15, 1939 in Madison County to the late Liston C. and Ruby Hunter Tweed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Fortner; son, Stevie Fortner; sister, Beulah Davis and brother, Clyde Tweed Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Roy Fortner; son, Bobby Fortner and wife Cathy of Weaverville; sister, Jane Ramsey and husband Frank of Asheville; brothers, Richard Tweed and wife Sarah, Rev. Sherman Tweed and wife Lois and Kenny Tweed all of Weaverville and Rev. Walter G. Tweed of Leicester; granddaughter, Jessica Ford and husband Landon and great grandchildren, Willa and Jase Ford. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Lail officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Bobby and Cathy Fortner, 352 Old Marshall Hwy., Asheville, NC 28804.
