BOBBY JOE WIGGINS ASHEVILLE - Bobby Joe Wiggins, age 81, of Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the John F. Keever Solace Center. Born July 21, 1933 to the late Walter and Hettie Welch Wiggins in Haywood County, Bobby Joe was raised in Swain County with his late brother Albert and has lived in Asheville since 1957. He served 3 years in the Armed Forces after a year at Tennessee Temple University and obtained an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Blanton's Business College. He worked as an Architectural Contract Hardware Consultant with various companies, having previously worked at Citizen's Hardware Store. Bobby Joe was a deacon and choir member/soloist at Woodland Hills Church. He exemplified quiet strength and a musical testimony of God's Love. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Agnes Spear Wiggins; daughter, Katherine M. Wiggins of Bryson City; and son, Charles Phillip Wiggins and his wife Robin of Forest City; and grandson, Corey. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015, in Woodland Hills Church, 50 Woodland Hills Rd., Asheville, NC 28804, with Reverend Ray Bailey and Reverend Bob Belford officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2015, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, NC 28787.
