Bonnie Buckner Anders

WEAVERVILLE—Bonnie Buckner Anders, age 72, formerly of Whitt Road, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Bonnie was born September 15, 1937, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a daughter of the late Will and Ada Rice Buckner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, G.D. Waldrup who died in 1964, Albert Hylemon who died in 1981, and Eddie A. Anders who died in 1994; and brothers, Luther and Howard Buckner. Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Lunsford of Leicester; sons, Doug Waldrup and wife Gail of Barnardsville, G.D. Waldrup and wife Melinda of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters, Betty Jean Fender, Doris Hollifield, Helen Jarrett, Barbara Wilson; brothers, Carol, Gerald and Dennis Buckner; grandchildren, Sheila, Chevy, Melody, Scott and Taylor; and great grandchildren, Cameron, Brittney and Hunter. Mrs. Anders' graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009, in West Memorial Park, with Rev. Danny Buckner and Rev. Junior Hollifield officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. At other times, the family will be at "The Home Place." Flowers are welcome.
