Brenda Ann Dixon

ALEXANDER – Brenda Ann Dixon, age 61, of Alexander died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Asheville. Brenda was born August 14, 1956 in Virginia and loved living in the mountains, and for part of her life by the ocean in Virginia. She was a CMA at a pediatric general practice. Brenda was the daughter of Louise Wyatt Holcombe and the late Roy Lee Holcombe. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, David Dixon; daughter Dana Ann (age 16) and son, Benjamin (age 14); brother, Mike Holcombe and special family members, Vivian Crawford and Katie Zimmerman. Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017 in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville with Rev. Dr. Martha Kearse officiating. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Freemason Street Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA, with the family receiving guests in the fellowship Hall following the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Louise Holcombe, 1369 Jenkins Valley Rd., Alexander, NC 28701. West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
