Carlos "Orville" Radcliff

LEICESTER – Carlos “Orville” Radcliff, age 92, of Leicester, died on Monday, August 29, 2022 at The Laurels of Greentree Ridge.

Mr. Radcliff was born December 15, 1929, in Buncombe County where he lived all his life.

He was a truck mechanic, retiring from Matthews Ford in 2000. A United States Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Radcliff served in the U.S. Army.  Orville was a member and trustee of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church.

He was the son of the late Carlos Oscar and Rosa Jane Hawkins Radcliff and the husband of the late Pearlie Haney Radcliff.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Jane Radcliff. 

Surviving him are his daughter, Cindy Faulkner and her husband, Rick, of Asheville; a step-sister, Linda Teague of Leicester; and grandchildren; Jason Faulkner, his wife, Whitney, and their daughter Jillian, and Johnathan Faulkner and his wife, Kelly.

   Services for Mr. Radcliff will be held at Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.  The Reverend Anthony Fox will officiate.  Burial will follow in Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexander.
