CAROLYN LEE HONEYCUTT COLE WEAVERVILLE –Carolyn Lee Honeycutt Cole, age 60, of 516 Reems Creek Road, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Mrs. Cole was born January 5, 1948 in Buncombe County where she had lived all her life. She was a faithful Christian and even though she was in a wheelchair, she walked with the Lord daily. Carolyn was the daughter of the late Rev. Ben Lee Honeycutt, Sr. and Eva Lee Taffer Honeycutt. Surviving is her daughter, Delaina Davis and husband Chris of Spruce Pine; son, Philip "Pulley" Cole and wife Susan of Leicester; she was the Nana of Brandy and Blake Davis; special son, Matthew Fox of the home; one sister who was more like a daughter, Lisa O'Neal of Georgia; brothers, Ben Lee Honeycutt, Jr. of Weaverville, Richie Honeycutt of Johnson City, Tenn. and Scott "Skeeter" Honeycutt of Asheville and twelve special nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with the Rev.'s Gary Hensley, Keith Watkins and Chris Davis officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Aunt Jenny, 59 Murphy Hill Road, Weaverville. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated or memorials may be made to Crossfire Ministries, 31 College Place Ste. E-102, Asheville, NC 28801 in memory of Carolyn Cole.
