CAROLYN MYERS SHOOK
WEAVERVILLE - Doris Carolyn Myers Shook, age 73, of Weaverville died Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
Mrs. Shook was born April 18, 1941 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She had worked in production planning at Square D, was of the Christian faith and enjoyed attending worship services and teaching youth Sunday school classes on occasion. Carolyn was a daughter to the late William Arthur Jr. and Bernice Burnett Myers.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years James H. Shook; sister, Patricia Thomas; brother, Ronald Myers; nieces and nephews, Melissa Bass, Tony Myers, Seth and Shane Thomas.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverends Joe Tomberlin and Gersheon Carver officiating. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at West Funeral Home.
