CHARLES DALE ALLMAN WEAVERVILLE – Charles Dale Allman, age 81, of Weaverville, died Thursday, June 1, 2017. Mr. Allman was born May 30, 1936 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. Dale enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. A retired truck driver, he later drove for Emma Bus Lines. Dale was an Army Veteran and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Charlie Monroe and Clara Coffey Allman and was also preceded in death by brothers, Roy and Edwin Allman. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Aline Fox Allman; son, Jeff Allman and wife Margie; two grandchildren, Bobby and Samantha. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Phillip Parker officiating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Jeff.
