Charles F. Boone

CHARLES F. BOONE WEAVERVILLE – Charles F. Boone, age 85 of 14 Hamburg Drive died Sunday, March 20, 2016. Mr. Boone was born December 27, 1930 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He was self-employed as a carpenter and painter. A son of the late Vestal and Texie Marie Carson Boone, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Gambill Boone who died in 2010; and brothers, Bernard Boone and Taylor A. Boone. Surviving are his wife of almost five years, Annie Murphy Boone; brother, Bobby D. Boone and wife Eloise; four step-children; several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Eric Sams officiating. Burial will be in Thomas S. Dillingham Cemetery, Barnardsville. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
