WEAVERVILLE – Charles "Chuck" William Butcher, age 75, went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was born in Chicago, IL on May 4, 1947, to the late William F. and Lavergne G. Butcher.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; sons Robert (Shawna) Butcher, Ben Butcher; daughters, Dana (Coy) Moore and MaryAnn (Karl) White; three grandchildren, Brandon Jason, Kassi Butcher and William Butcher; one great grandchild, Emma Jason; brothers, Robert Butcher and William Jr. (Biff) Butcher; and sisters, Verne Franks and Mary Bryson.
Chuck cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed any opportunity to be outdoors whether it was working, camping, hiking, or gardening. He also selflessly loved helping others and serving in his community. He spent each morning in devotional study and treasured the Book of Isaiah. One of his favorite verses was Isaiah 41:10, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
