Charles "Chuck" Ray Boaz

WEAVERVILLE - Charles “Chuck” Ray Boaz, age 86, of Weaverville went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Chuck was born June 11, 1937, in Wayne County, Michigan to the late Rayford B. and Homer Ann O’Neal Boaz. He and his wife moved to the Asheville area in 1999. Chuck was a barber in Michigan for many years and was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy. He was a devout Christian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, JoyceLyn, and brother, Shannon.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Brenda Mitchell Boaz, and many other family members.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Jimmy Hardesty officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 PM, Thursday prior to the funeral service.
