Charles Howard Mundy

Charles went to his Heavenly home Friday, March 7, 2025, at the age of 91. He was a gentle but strong man who devoted his life to God and his family. He was born on January 12, 1934, in Buncombe County. The oldest of seven brothers, he was preceded in death by his parents, Taft and Gladys Burrell Mundy and brothers, Harold, Hobert, and Grady.

He will be missed beyond measure by his wife of 71 years, Fayma Webb Mundy, his daughter, Kathy (Charlie) Wheeler and grandchildren, Dawson and Kendra. Also survived by brothers, Donald, Herman, Larry and their families as well as sisters and brothers-in-law, Eula, Evelyn, Jack, James, Robert and their families. Other family, too many to name will feel his loss greatly.

He was a great example to his family in everything he did. He loved his dog, Bella, who rarely left his side when he was at home.

Special thanks to Lifecare of Greeneville, TN personnel. They got to know Charles through his daily visits to see Fayma, who resides there. As a resident, he was loved and cared for like family.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in West Memorial Park. Pastor David Brooks and Reverend Mark Laughlin will preside. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
