Christa Maria vonDaeniken

WEAVERVILLE, NC Christa Maria vonDaeniken, age 90, formerly of Grayslake, Ill. died Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Mrs. vonDaeniken was born January 10, 1921 in Germany and came to the US in 1924 at the age of 3. She grew up in Chicago, later married Robert vonDaeniken and raised their family in Grayslake. She was preceded in death by their son, Bruce vonDaeniken. A very creative person, her love of the arts was evident in her personal appearance, her profession of hairdresser and her hobbies of sewing knitting and cooking. She was an avid golfer plus she enjoyed tennis, swimming and walking. Surviving are her daughters: Capri Willis, husband Darcy and their son, Rob. Heidi Selgert, husband Jeff and their children Jason and Anna. Cherie Dudick, husband Bill and children: Bret Hacker, wife Michelle and their daughter, Joy; Kristi, Michael and Leslie Hacker.
