Violet “Clara” Farmer, age 98, of Sandusky passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home.
Clara was born February 6, 1920 in Sarnia, Ontario to the late Frank and Charlotte Johnston Robinson. She graduated from Redford High School with the class of 1938. Clara married Weaver Jackson “Jack” Farmer in 1950 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death in May of 1997. Clara was the owner of the “Little People Shoppe” for more than 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Spike and her family.
Clara is survived by her brother, Fred “Buddy” Robinson; several nieces and nephews, Patsy (Rick) David, Michelle (Ray) Wildey, Bruce (Gilbert) Varella-Irland, Marlene (Rich) Kayfez, Jerry (Ellen) Irland, Dean (Nancy) Robinson, Cheryl, Roger and Troy Bidwell; her special birthday twin, Marin Hann; and her beloved dog, Spike.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverend Gary Coates will officiate. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park.
