Clara W. Hensley

WEAVERVILLE—Clara W. Hensley, age 72, of 224 Dula Springs Rd., died Monday, July 30, 2012. Mrs. Hensley was born July 29, 1940, in Alexander County and was a resident of Lawrenceville, Ga., before moving to Buncombe County in 2006. She was a member of North Point Baptist Church. Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by her parents, Crowson and Ila Dellinger Wike; son, Gregory Charles Hensley; and three brothers. Surviving are husband of 53 years, Charlie P. Hensley, Jr.; daughter, Karen Gibson and husband Mike of Weaverville; sisters, Lillian Childress, Katherine Gantt, and Carol Jenkins, all of Taylorsville; brothers, Jerry Wike, Roger Wike, and Larry Gene Wike, all of Taylorsville; grandsons, Jerad LeBlanc and Brody Gibson; and great grandchildren, Tyler LeBlanc and Alex LeBlanc. Her memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. George Hutchins and Blanca Miller officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
