Clara Miller Morris

WEAVERVILLE-Clara Miller Morris, age 96, of Weaverville, died Saturday, March 6, 2021.

Mrs. Morris was born February 28, 1925 in Leicester to the late George F. and Lina Luther Miller. As a child, Clara loved all animals and listening to music. She played softball and was a pitcher for West Buncombe School during middle and high school. Her work career was at Connie Fashion where she was a table machine operator and sales clerk. Clara loved playing the guitar and piano, and singing with her sister, June; she was a loving and caring lady who had many friends who loved her. Clara said she “was known for her red lipstick”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Morris and sisters, Margaret Jones and Betty June Parker.

Surviving are nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 11, 2021 in West Memorial Park. Rev. Clark Henderson will officiate.

For those who wish to pay their respects, Mrs. Morris will be available for viewing between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at West Funeral Home. The family will not be present.

Per the NC Governor, masks are required.
