CLARENCE KENNETH CAPPS
WEAVERVILLE - Clarence Kenneth Capps, age 75 of Weaverville died Friday, April 10, 2015.
Mr. Capps was born February 7, 1940 in Madison County to the late William Clyde and Lourie Stanley Capps and had been a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. Kenneth was a retired painter and former security guard at Sonopress. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years Barbara Bennett Capps; sons, David William Capps and Kenneth Wayne Capps; sisters, Gladys Wilson, Emma Jean Capps; brothers, Boyd, Floyd and Walter Capps; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Rev. Frank Mullins, Rev. Brian Byrd and Don Briggs will officiate.
The family will greet friends following the service.
At other times the family will be at the home of Walter and Bonnie Capps, 98 Herron Cove Rd., Weaverville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to West Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
