CLARENTINE LLOYD STANSBURY BOWEN ALEXANDER, NC/RICHMOND, VA - Clarentine Lloyd Stansbury Bowen, age 88, died Sunday, July 20, 2014. Mrs. Bowen was born June 11, 1926 in Richmond, VA. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Cole and Edith Marie Bowles Lloyd and wife of the late Earnest Alvin Stansbury and the late Raymond Brent Bowen. Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia Spence and Theresa Woods; sons, Alvin Keith and Dennis Stansbury; nine grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014, in the Nelsen Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Burial will be in Springfield Christian Church Cemetery, Rockville, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Nelsen Reid Chapel. Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to the Temple Baptist School Scholarship Fund at 985 ½ Patton Ave., Asheville, NC 28806.
