Clydia Hamlin Radford

WEAVERVILLE—Clydia Hamlin Radford, age 93, formerly of 476 Old Mars Hill Hwy., died Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Mrs. Radford was born July 15, 1919, in Madison County and lived her adult life in Buncombe County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Ellis and Jane Briggs Hamlin; and her husband, Herschel Radford who died in 1998. Surviving are her daughters, Jane Robinson and husband Gene and Beth Candler and husband Michael, all of Weaverville; son, Joe Radford and wife Martha of Weaverville; sister, Clara Wilde of Marshall; grandchildren, Candy Radford, John, Joseph and Matthew and wife Carrie Radford, Kathy Deuel and husband Dan, Cortney Gordon and husband Adam, Nicholas Candler and wife Rebekah, and Caroline Candler; thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Stanley Peek officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
