CONSTANCE “CONNIE” HENSON MOORE ALEXANDER – Constance “Connie” Henson Moore, age 63, of Alexander died Thursday, February 2, 2017. Mrs. Moore was born January 30, 1954 in Haywood County to the late James McKay and Mary Garrison Henson and was a resident of Buncombe County for the past 15 years. Connie was a former clerk for Lowe’s in Waynesville. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Andrew Moore; daughter, Elizabeth Jane Moore; son, Andrew Bryan Moore; stepmother, Josie Bullard Henson; sisters, Sharon Henson Laney, Betsy Farrow Gunter; brothers, James McKay Henson, Jr., Robert Farrow, Blake Henson; and 5 grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Van Williams officiating. Private burial will be in Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 1468 Jenkins Valley Rd., Alexander, NC 28701.
