Cora Ellen Pos Gebb

ASHEVILLE—Cora Ellen Pos Gebb, age 100, of 213 Richmond Hills Dr., died Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Mrs. Gebb was born July 2, 1910, in Artesia, New Mexico to the late Bernard and Cora Ellen Hack Pos. She previously lived in Texas, Florida and Pennsylvania and moved to Buncombe County in 1965. She was the wife of Rev. Linwood George Gebb who pastored the Asheville Bible Church until his death in 1971. Surviving are her children, Dorcas Hall of St. Louis, Mo., Dr. David M. Gebb and wife Lou of Brevard and Miriam Gebb of Ecuador; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Gebb's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010, in First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville, of which she was a member, with Revs. Skip Gillikin and Sam McGinn officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
