Cye Weinstein

CYE WEINSTEIN WEAVERVILLE - Cye Weinstein, beloved husband of Monica Weinstein passed away December 11, 2014 at his home in Weaverville. Born December 12, 1926 in Bronx, NY, Cye was son of the late Irving and Bella Weinstein and was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillian Wishnow and Charlotte Ross; and his son Jordan Weinstein. Cye was a US Navy veteran. He and his wife moved to Weaverville after retiring their floral company The Elegant Weed in Redbank, NJ. He was a member of Weaverville United Methodist Church and was passionate about outreach and mission work. He had served as treasurer of ABCCM in Weaverville and also as director of the Weaverville Senior Meal Center. Cye was a gentle soul, always ready to give comfort, guidance and love. Surviving in addition to his wife Monica are his sons, Michael Weinstein and wife Gloria of Queens, NY, Kenneth Weinstein and wife Tatiana of Naperville, IL; daughter in law, Jing Miao Weinstein of Queens, NY and his "heart daughter", Patricia Sharp of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Weaverville United Methodist Church, 85 North Main Street, with Reverend Mitch Wilson officiating.
