Daniel Ray Sherlin

ASHEVILLE—Daniel Ray Sherlin, Sr., 51, of 48 Walnut Lane, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 after a brief illness. Mr. Sherlin was born March 29, 1956 in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. Daniel was a son of the late Nelson and Bonnie Evans Sherlin and was preceded in death by a sister, Donnie Mae Sherlin. Surviving are his wife, Frances Creech Sherlin; daughter, Jessica Ann Silvers and her husband, Brian Ray of Asheville; son, Daniel Ray Sherlin, Jr. and his wife, Heather of Candler; sister, Betty Jean Allman and her husband, Jack of Asheville; brothers, Nelson E. "Bud" Sherlin of Maggie Valley, and William Leeroy "Bill" Sherlin and his wife, Gaye of Mayfield, Ky.; and two grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, in Emma Heights Church of God 645 Emma Road, Asheville. Rev. Lewis Melton will be officiating.
