Darlene McKin Elliott

WEAVERVILLE—Darlene McKin Elliott, age 57, of 11 Ox Creek Rd., died Thursday, February 17, 2011. Mrs. Elliott was born April 23, 1953, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a member of South Fork United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and steward. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Burnette McKin. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Donnie Elliott; daughter, April Honeycutt and husband Jason of Leicester; sisters, Frankie McKin, Cynthia Galarza, Melissa Marlowe, Jenice Gutierrez, and Sonja Buckner; grandchildren, Chance, Aiden, and Rylan, whom she loved spending time with; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 20, 2011, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Revs. Larry Sprinkle and James Lamb officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
