DAVID J. ROBISON WEAVERVILLE - David J. Robison, age 65, of Weaverville died Friday, December 5, 2014. Mr. Robison was born October 18, 1949 in Grant County, WA to Jim and Barbara Robison, currently of Weaverville. David received a Doctorate in Biochemistry from Tufts University, was chairman of USMSS, a former member of the US Navy Reserves and the owner of Communication Service, Inc. in Asheville. He had a love for music and photography. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of 44 years, Debbie Pallardy Robison; daughter, Jennifer Robison of MA; son, Mark Robison of WA; sister, Julie E. Robison of Weaverville; brothers, Timothy E. Robison and wife Leslie of MA, Richard J. Robison and wife Dorothy of MA and Stephen H. Robison and wife Brit of Weaverville; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Tyler Robison; many nieces and nephews; and two great nephews. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with the Rev. David McNair officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Manna Food Bank, 627 Swannanoa River Rd., Asheville, NC 28805.
