David Moss Weaver

DAVID MOSS "MIKE" WEAVER ASHEVILLE - David Moss "Mike" Weaver, age 85, of Chunns Cove Rd. passed away to be with the Lord on March 16, 2015. Mr. Weaver was born April 24, 1929 in Buncombe County to the late Alfred Fulton Weaver and Lucy Alice Moss Weaver. David retired as co-owner of Paving Enterprises and was a World War II veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne, and member of Asheville Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, and BPOE Elks Lodge. His hobbies included gardening, roses, yard work, and his two constant companions, Misty and Sammie. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Stitt Weaver who died in 2011. Surviving are his daughters, Amy Perry and husband Floyd of Durham, SueAnn Weaver Sparks and husband Rick of Bakersville; sons, D. Michael Weaver and wife Lyn of Lake Lure, Johnny Weaver and wife Linda of Horseshoe; brother, A.F. Weaver III and wife Lily; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family would like to thank Dianne Buckmaster Young for assisting with his caregiving and companionship. David will be missed by all that knew him and met him.
