DEANA DILLINGHAM HOLLAND WEAVERVILLE – The body of Deana Dillingham Holland, age 57, died Monday, December 21, 2015, at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville. Born on March 3, 1958, Deana was a native of Buncombe County and was the daughter of Kenneth Dean Dillingham and the late Lois Quinn Dillingham. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, she was the Executive Director of Human Resources at Mars Hill University with whom she was employed for over 35 years. Deana resided in Weaverville with her husband, Jim Holland, with whom she was married for 18 brief years. She and Jim loved each other deeply. In addition to her husband, Deana is survived by her father, Kenneth of Weaverville; her sister, Jane Ponder and her husband Jackie of Hartsville, SC; her brother Alan Dillingham of Weaverville; 11 nephews and nieces, Alex, Jaclyn, and Courtney Ponder, Heather Ponder Dyar and husband Sterling, Aaron, Andrew, John, Caleb, Nathan, Kelly, and James Dillingham; and great nephews and nieces. Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015, in Arden Presbyterian Church, 2215 Hendersonville Road, Arden of which she was a member. Reverend Dr. Craig Sheppard will officiate. Private burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately after her service.
