ASHEVILLE – Delma Bailey, age 98, of Asheville, died Monday, December 31, 2018.

Delma was born April 23, 1920 in Nassau County, NY to the late Peter and Anna Piazza Fochi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bailey who died in 1981 and son Kenneth Bailey.

Surviving are her daughters, Audrey Bailey, Jackie Stafford, Eleanor Collazo and husband Mike; sister, Anna Damiano; brother, Peter Fochi; special sister-in-law, Faye Williams; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; special friends, Mary and Lonnie Brooks, Shirley Ledford and Roseanne Myers.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Burial will follow in Lewis Memorial Park, Asheville.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the funeral home.
