Donnie "Don" Allen Willis

WEAVERVILLE – Donnie “Don” Allen Willis, age 77, of Weaverville passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 5, 1948, in Quincy, FL to the late E.J. and Mildred Willis. 

Don was an excellent nurse and retired from Emerald Ridge Health & Rehab, where he was loved by all of his residents. Before nursing he was an electronic engineer. Don loved riding his Harley, bow hunting, fishing, and going to the lake. He was an animal lover and is survived by Peanut the dog. Other dogs he loved included Missy, Cy, Fang, Jasper, and Beast. Don was also a United States Navy Veteran.

Surviving is his wife of 23 years, Pamela Bolick Willis; daughters, Kim Boggie (and spouse Lynne Burrell), Kelly Willis, and Jennifer Willis; son, Jessie Willis; four step-children, Thomas Bailey, Jr., Timothy Bailey, Carrie Bailey, and Christopher Bailey (and wife Heather); grandchildren; Chase Boggie, Paige Boggie, and Nicholas Willis; great grandchildren, Grayson Boggie, Griffin Boggie, Rhiannon Willis, and Rowina Willis; and seven step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter.
